How to publish HTML from Claude Code with Foliyo
To publish HTML from Claude Code, connect Foliyo’s hosted MCP server, authenticate your workspace, then ask Claude to prepare and publish the finished deliverable. You get a browser link you can update later, with the design, sender and access settings you choose.
Give the work a proper client handoff
A useful strategy can still arrive looking unfinished. Sending a conversation or a folder of generated files asks the client to work out which version matters and what to read first. A Foliyo puts your recommendation, evidence and next decision into one coherent page.
This walkthrough uses a proposal as the example. Open the complete sample below to inspect the structure before building your own. Its client, figures and outcomes are fictional. Your agent can create a completely different visual design; the sample is a starting point, not a required layout.
1. Connect Claude Code to Foliyo
You need an installed, signed-in Claude Code and a Foliyo account. Free is enough to publish a PIN-protected page with Foliyo branding. Your Claude subscription or API usage is separate from Foliyo.
Run these commands in your terminal. The user scope makes the connection available across your Claude Code projects. If Foliyo is already connected, use the existing connection rather than adding another copy.

claude mcp login foliyo2. Finish sign-in and check the connection
The login command opens a browser. Sign in to the Foliyo workspace you want to use, review the consent screen and approve that connection. Return to the terminal once login finishes. Inside Claude Code, /mcp shows connected servers and authentication options.
If your installed version does not have the login command, start Claude Code and use /mcp to authenticate Foliyo. A local callback address beginning with 127.0.0.1 can be part of a desktop login: it returns the response to the client that started the flow. Leave that terminal running and complete login on the same machine. Do not forward the callback URL or reuse an old one.

Work from a reviewed proposal or report, not the entire private conversation by default. Name the file Claude should read, or identify the final version in the current conversation. Ask it to preserve the reasoning and evidence that justify your recommendation.
In the example below, replace Northwind and the file name with your own. A client’s design and your sender identity are separate choices. Using the client’s typography and colors does not mean pretending the client authored your work.
Create a Foliyo proposal for Northwind using the approved proposal.md in this project. Preserve the scope, exclusions, timeline, evidence and agreed fees. Use a scrolling web page and Northwind’s approved design guide, with my consultancy as the sender. Ask for any missing details using numbered choices. Use PIN protection. Show me the draft and access settings before publishing. Do not email anyone.4. Answer the format, identity and access questions
The agent loads the workspace context first. Saved project settings can answer some questions already, so you should not need to repeat every preference for every report. Check the selected project to avoid carrying one client’s design or recipients into another client’s work.
You can reply with option numbers. For example, “1, use Northwind’s guide, sender 2, PIN, return the link only.” The exact wording depends on the agent and the context it already has; this is a suggested interaction, not a fixed transcript.

5. Review, preflight and publish
Read the actual draft. Check that the recommendation is supported, fees are correct, source links work and the client can understand the next action. Test the mobile layout if the recipient is likely to open it on a phone.
Ask Claude to preflight the final HTML before publication. Foliyo hosts static HTML and supported controls; it does not run arbitrary JavaScript applications. If a key section depends on a custom script, simplify it and recheck the complete content. A successful upload is not enough if half the report is hidden.
The draft is approved. Preflight the complete HTML and assets, fix any blocking issues, then publish this version with the agreed PIN protection. Return the actual URL and generated PIN. Do not email anyone.6. Open it as a recipient, then update the same link
Open the returned link in a separate browser session. Confirm that the PIN gate appears before the content, enter the PIN and check the whole proposal. Free includes Foliyo branding and a basic read receipt. Pro removes Foliyo branding and adds detailed engagement and email gates.
For a revision, identify the existing Foliyo rather than asking for another new page. Fetch the existing content first, change only what you intend and preserve the access settings. Reopen the same URL to check the result. An already downloaded copy cannot update itself.
Find the Northwind proposal I just published. Change the kickoff from Monday to Wednesday, leaving the rest of the approved content unchanged. Preflight it and update the existing Foliyo at the same URL. Preserve the PIN, sender and tracking settings. Do not email anyone.What we verified
On 25 September 2026, we used native Claude Code 2.1.282 with the hosted Foliyo MCP to prepare, preflight, publish, retrieve, update and report on a fictional PIN-protected page. We independently checked stored content and the rendered access gate. The update preserved the URL and PIN. Tracking and notifications were off, and the disposable page was removed afterward.
That check covers Claude Code’s publishing workflow. It does not establish that Foliyo is approved in Claude’s public directory or connected in every Claude chat. The proposal preview linked above is an illustrative template, not the deleted test page.
