you might be wondering.
Is Foliyo a CLI tool or an MCP server?
Both. Connect directly to the hosted MCP server from an MCP-capable agent, or use the Node CLI for shell workflows and publishing local files. Both call the same hosted service; you do not need to run a Foliyo backend.
Can I switch between AI tools?
Connect each tool to the same Foliyo workspace. Approve workspace editing access to retrieve and update links made through another connected client.
Do my readers need a Foliyo account?
No. They open your link in their browser. A protected link asks for the PIN or email verification you chose.
Can I edit something after sending it?
Yes. Republish to the same link. Your recipients open the updated version without needing a new URL.
What can I publish?
Static HTML reports, proposals, updates and other finished documents, including supported images and fonts. Foliyo does not run arbitrary JavaScript applications.
Does a read receipt prove someone read the work?
No. Engagement shows that a link was opened, not that somebody understood the document. Named links can be forwarded; email verification offers stronger identity checks.
